10 mistakes that make a business website lose customers
Most business websites do not fail because they lack pages. They fail because the visitor does not understand the offer, does not trust it, or does not know how to continue.
1. The headline talks about the company, not the customer’s problem. 2. The main button competes with five others. 3. On a phone the menu covers the content or the form sits far below the fold.
4. There is no proof: projects, real photos or a clear process. 5. Contact is a generic inbox with no expectation of a reply. 6. The site is slow and people leave before they read.
7. The copy is written for Google, not for a person. 8. The service is described with technology instead of an outcome. 9. There is no path for someone who already has a site and only wants it improved.
10. After a form is sent, nothing explains what happens next. A business site has to answer, in the first seconds, what you do, who it is for, and what the next step is.
